An Unfinished Mind
Oil Pastel
This piece began nearly eight years ago, a simple pencil sketch left unfinished—waiting. It lingered quietly, patient, until I was ready to meet it again. When I returned, I realized it wasn’t about completion at all, but about permission. Permission to step into color. Permission to create without the demand of perfection. "Unfinished Mind" is a surrender—an offering to the process itself, allowing it to be raw, open, and unresolved.
"An unfinished mind, waiting in silence.
Not for perfection, but for permission.
Eight years of pause—
color called me back,
reminding me that even in pieces,
I am still whole."
